The Allison’s

Ella & Nate

An ‘end of summer’ island getaway close to home.

Ella + Nate decided to have their wedding on Pender Island, a place in which held sentimental value to the couple. After several months of planning and coordination on how to get flowers decor etc. to this unique venue, everything fell into place.

It is hard to pick favourites but Ella and Nate’s Pender Island Wedding is one that I will always remember. It was my biggest weddings I had designed as a result of Covid. Ella and I had begun planning florals and design in January 2021 and from there, the details really fell into place over months of planning. I remember finding Ella through my friend’s coffee truck, Amble Coffee.Ella had been working there and she mentioned her wedding being ‘unique’ and her feelings of uncertainty as to how she was going to manage accessing florals for her Island wedding. Immediately, my interest was peaked and I started brainstorming with her about how this could potentially work…

  • The morning of the wedding was absolutely perfect. Ella spent the morning getting ready in the most stunning cliffside cabin overlooking the ocean. Surrounded by her closest friends and family, the morning was filled with laughter, smiles and happy tears.

  • After taking a scenic drive to the Northern side of Pender Island, complete with windy roads that would compete with the track of a rollercoaster, one enters into the most serene pathway that leads to a breathtaking cliffside view of the ocean. It is here that Ella and Nate exchanged their vows and made their promises of forever.

  • The reception took place in a little forest setting tucked just off one of the main roads of the island. Entering through the floral gateway, guests were met with strings of lights giving off an enchanting aura, a vibrant mobile bar and a relaxing lounge area to take in each moment of the day.

  • As if the events of the previous day weren’t enough… there was one last event to top off the weekend. An intimate seaside brunch surrounded by the couples closest friends and family was hosted at the harbour of Port Browning Marina Resort.
